Nancy and Derrick Woods, owners of Holy City Hearing, are humbled and honored to receive the HealthLinks Best in Health Award and appreciate the validation from patients who took the time to vote for them.
Holy City Hearing is an independently owned and operated hearing center, offering comprehensive hearing tests as well as a full line of hearing aids and accessories. As a private center, their hearing specialists will spend as much time as required to give their patients the attention and care they need.
“We work hard to make sure that patients are fitted with the devices that are right for their hearing loss and that they are working properly,” Nancy explained. “Our approach to care delivery aligns with our mission to ensure a better quality of life through better hearing.”
It’s that specialized attention that sets Holy City Hearing apart from other centers. Treating everyone as they wish to be treated is a value they practice every day.
As a patient himself, Derrick can relate to the needs and emotions of patients dealing with hearing loss.
“As our center’s first patient years ago and being a licensed hearing health professional, I understand both sides of the experience,” he explained. “I can relate to their individual needs and concerns and help find the best solution for them.”
There’s also the special attention paid to family members who deal with their own difficulties due to a loved one’s hearing challenges.
“As someone in their shoes, I know how frustrating it can be in certain situations,” Nancy said. “Hearing devices help patients and their family members live a more engaged and fulfilled life together AND nothing makes us happier than improving lives through better hearing.”
