None of this is necessary, of course, if you choose regenerative cellular therapy at the first sign that something is wrong.
Once your joints start to degenerate, they will continue down that painful path until you can’t rotate your shoulder, turn your hips or support your weight with your knees and ankles. Your options, if you want to return to a normal life, include surgery, followed by an extended period of time in rehab and no guarantee of success; pain killers, which might be habit-forming and could produce undesirable side effects; or cortisone injections, which do nothing to inhibit the degeneration process.
There is another possibility, however, “an opportunity to change your life,” according to Mark Luckie, DC, at West Ashley Wellness & Rehab. Regenerative cellular therapy, he said, is the natural way to give your joints the opportunity to do the job they were meant to do.
Dr. Luckie, who has been practicing for 18 years, and Arthur Labruce, MD, now provide this regenerative option. They are quick to point out that there are no ethical concerns in the specialized treatment they provide at their office.
These injections are given at their medical office, and the entire procedure takes only around 15 minutes. Dr. Luckie said the pain in the joint normally disappears in about two weeks, but he added that the regeneration in the joint can continue to occur for up to 12 months.
Dr. Luckie explained that based on scientific research, stem cells can become other stem cells, or they can change into cells that form tendons, ligaments, bone and nerves. As a result, the procedure actually regenerates these vital components of a joint, rather than simply making the pain go away for a while.
“The good thing is that it’s all-natural,” said Dr. Luckie.
He said medical doctors have provided patients with more than 100,000 injections across the country, with great success and no side effects.
He pointed out that regenerative cellular therapy is a reliable and cost-effective way to deal with knee problems such as a meniscus tear, degeneration, an ACL or PCL injury or chondromalacia; foot and ankle conditions such as plantar fasciitis; hand and wrist issues including carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis; shoulder conditions such as rotator cuff tears, arthritis and bursitis; and hip problems including labrum tears, osteoarthritis and bursitis.
Golfer’s elbow is sometimes referred to as climber’s elbow or pitcher’s elbow or by its medical name – epicondylitis. A form of tendonitis, it also can be alleviated with regenerative cell therapy.
Many people consider arthritis to be an affliction of old age, but that isn’t necessarily the case, according to Dr. Luckie.
“Arthritis is not age-related,” he explained. “It’s how your body responds after an injury. It doesn’t have to be an auto accident or something like that. It can be repetitive strain or simply sitting at a desk improperly for too long.”
He pointed out that in Phase 1 of arthritis, the cartilage softens, the joint loses its ability to absorb impact and the space within the joint begins to disappear. In Phase 2, the cartilage wears away and the joint loses its normal shape. In Phase 3, bone grates against bone and there is no motion in the joint.
None of this is necessary, of course, if you choose regenerative cellular therapy at the first sign that something is wrong.
“Pain is a warning signal that there is something going on,” said Dr. Luckie. “You need to get to the root of the problem so you can get back to the things you enjoy.”
