I “inherited” Health Related Home Care when I purchased Quiet Acres Assisted Living Facility because that is the home health agency that the previous owner used. It didn’t take me long to find out why! Gena Cameron is our nurse and has known my clients for years. She knows their backgrounds, medical history, what’s normal and abnormal for them. I consider her a part of my team. I know I can call her and she will come when I need her. I also love Michelle who does the telemonitors! And who could forget Abby the therapy dog?! She comes in here like she owns the place. The residents love to see her dressed up in her many different outfits. She and India put a smile on everyone’s face during their visits. This is why we will continue to only use Health Related Home Care!

Dear Health Related Home Care,
I just wanted to write a testimonial about the care that you gave my brother. We originally chose the agency because we are long time residents of Abbeville County and knew a lot of the staff that worked there. They were amazing! Over the last several years, my brother was in and out of the hospital multiple times. Each time we went home, we told the doctors to send Health Related back out. Dana Williams was our nurse and Nichole Cobb and Kerry Hall were our Occupational Therapists that helped with his Lymphedema. Not only did they help tremendously with healing his legs, they also educated us how to help care for him. Recently my brother passed away but I still have close friendships with the nurses and therapists that cared for my brother and would recommend them to anyone!

I recently had my knee replaced and when I was in the hospital, the doctor asked me which home health agency I wanted to use for my rehab. I quickly replied that I wanted Health Related Home Care because I had heard such wonderful things about them. I also knew that my daughter’s sister in law worked there, so it made me even more comfortable to know that there was a “family” connection. From the very first nurse that came out to do my admission to the agency, I could tell this company was special. I quickly came to know and love my nurse Carol Jackson, RN and my Physical Therapist, David Stewart. David came several times a week to exercise my knee and gently encouraged me to do more and more each visit. My doctor was so impressed when I went back for my follow up visit and even decided that I did not need outpatient therapy. I know it was because of the skills and knowledge of my therapist and my motivation to return to my prior independence that I did so well. Thanks Davi d and Carol for helping me get my life back!
