Bright McConnell, III, MD
Dr. Bright McConnell, III, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports and regenerative medicine, with expertise in knee and shoulder disorders, orthobiologics, and osteoporosis care. Based on Daniel Island, his practice offers advanced treatments for sports injuries and degenerative diseases. A graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, he completed his residency at the University of Florida and a fellowship at the Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, working with professional athletes. Recognized among the “Best Doctors in America,” Dr. McConnell resides in McClellanville, SC, with his family and enjoys aviation, marine activities, and recreational farming.

Eric Friedman, MD
Dr. Eric Friedman is a board-certified sports medicine physician dedicated to helping patients stay active through non-operative treatments, including orthobiologics. He earned his medical degree and completed a sports medicine fellowship at Duke University, where he served as a Team Physician for Duke Athletics. Dr. Friedman has lectured globally, published in peer-reviewed journals, and contributed to textbooks. His experience includes medical coverage for marathons, NCAA games, and professional sports, and he recently joined the USA Ski and Snowboard Team’s medical staff. A New York native, he now resides on Daniel Island with his wife and dog, embracing Charleston’s lifestyle.

Sue Harter, PT, ATC-R, CSCS
Sue Harter, PT, ATC-R, CSCS, is a Licensed Physical Therapist and Certified Athletic Trainer with over 36 years of experience in Charleston. She holds degrees from Miami University, UNC Chapel Hill, and MUSC and has served as an adjunct professor at Charleston Southern University and the College of Charleston. Sue’s expertise spans sports medicine, joint replacement recovery, return-to-sport training, post-operative care, youth therapy, and advanced techniques like dry needling and laser treatments. A former athletic trainer for the U.S. Women’s World Cup Soccer Team, Sue is dedicated to helping Charleston Sports Medicine patients achieve their physical goals and thrive.
