Our Providers
Dr. Noelle Jennings, D.O.
Dr. Noelle Jennings, D.O. has been with Carolina Hormone and Health Center since 2022. Dr. Jennings grew up in New Jersey and left for college at age 18. She’s lived in several places around the country for training and school – from the midwest to Maine to the west coast, and then settled in the southeast, which is her favorite spot! She’s been practicing medicine in Charleston for 12 years, is married with 2 daughters and lots of pets.
Dr. Jennings says she’s in this profession because she had been practicing traditional medicine for 18 years and felt like something was missing, something that she could offer her patients.
She has seen the healing results of using alternative and holistic practices and loves that she can assist patients this way, so she decided on an integrative approach to healthcare.
Dr. Jennings earned her bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Notre Dame, her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, had Emergency Medicine Training at Emory University and certifications with AMET Aesthetic Medical Training in 2022, and Inmode Preceptorship Training for Advanced Women’s Wellness in 2022.
Kim Smeltzer, Aesthetician
Kim Smeltzer, Aesthetician has been with Carolina Hormone and Health Center since 2022. She was born in downtown Charleston, SC, grew up on James Island and has always loved the Lowcountry and has never thought of living anywhere else.
Smeltzer always tells people how much she loves her job, although she reports it doesn’t feel like a job to her. It’s more like visiting people all day and having the opportunity to help people care for their skin needs which she finds gratifying because she enjoys the reward of seeing happy patients that find new self confidence and self-esteem.
She finds working at The Retreat with Carolina Hormone and Health because, “It’s not only about skin care and treatments, it’s about a patient’s overall health and well-being.”
Smeltzer graduated in 1985, and says, “I attended the South Carolina Institute in Greenville SC, where I studied Aesthetics, electrolysis and manicuring. I have been in skin care ever since, gaining 38 years of experience in the field.” In 2013 she decided to further her career and entered the Medical Aesthetic field, becoming a Medical Aesthetician. Continuing her education is important and she attends certification courses and conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest cutting-edge technology and advanced treatments.
