Chief executive officer
EcoSteris
How would you describe your journey to becoming the health leader you are today?
For decades, the medical waste industry had been relying on outdated and inefficient processes. I believed that with vision, innovation and courage, we could make it better, not just for hospitals and clinics but for entire communities. Founding EcoSteris was my way of building a company where sustainability, compliance and cost reduction are not competing priorities but shared values.
What advice would you give as a mentor to women new to the health field?
Own your voice. The health care space is full of smart and capable women, but too often we wait for permission to lead. Don’t. Step into the room as if your perspective matters – because it does. Growth in health care often happens at the edge of what’s familiar. Lean into discomfort, and you’ll find your strength there.
If you could change one thing about health care, what would it be?
I would make innovation and sustainability inseparable from health care delivery. So much of our system is still built around “how things have always been done.” But health care touches every life and every community. Our systems must evolve with the world around us.
