Beltone Hearing Aid Center Expands Access with Holy City Hearing
For more than 85 years, Beltone has been synonymous with better hearing, offering professional hearing care through a nationwide network of more than 1,500 locations across the United States. Now that national support is expanding in the Charleston area through Beltone Coastal, a locally owned group led by hearing care professional Rob Shilot.
Beltone Coastal Expands Across the Lowcountry
Shilot has spent the last several years growing Beltone Hearing Aid Center throughout the Lowcountry, with established offices in West Ashley, Summerville, Goose Creek and Moncks Corner serving patients across the greater Charleston area. Most recently, Beltone expanded into Mount Pleasant by partnering with a trusted local practice: Holy City Hearing, led by Hearing Care Practitioner Grace Chisam and Patient Care Coordinator Dana Silber.
Partnering with Holy City Hearing in Mount Pleasant
Shilot shared that Beltone Hearing Aid Center has been looking to better serve patients in the Mount Pleasant area, and the opportunity to work alongside Holy City Hearingโs owners, Derrick and Nancy Woods, created the kind of transition that benefits patients most. After many years of caring for the community, Derrick and Nancy were preparing for retirement and wanted to ensure that the patients they served would continue to receive consistent, relationship-driven care.
โHoly City Hearing has built something special in Mount Pleasant,โ Shilot said. โDerrick and Nancy have taken great care of their patients for years, and our priority is to honor that trust, preserve the patient experience and expand the level of long-term support patients have access to.โ
What This Means for Patients
For Holy City Hearing patients, the message is simple: The care remains local and familiar, while support becomes more convenient. Patients can continue seeing the team they know in Mount Pleasant, while also gaining access to follow-up care across greater Charleston-area Beltone Coastal locations, including West Ashley, Summerville, Goose Creek and Moncks Corner.
This expanded network is especially helpful for patients who may prefer service closer to home, need quick assistance between appointments or want the flexibility of being supported across multiple offices in the area.
More Convenience for Nexton Patients
In addition to supporting Mount Pleasant patients, the transition also brings added convenience for Holy City patients previously seen at the Nexton location, with follow-up care now supported through the Summerville Beltone Hearing Aid Center.
Free Evaluations and Veteran Hearing Aid Support
Beltone also offers free hearing evaluations and provides free cleanings and service for all veterans, including support for any make and model of hearing aids, even if the devices were purchased elsewhere.
Why Follow-Up Care Matters
Regular follow-up visits, cleanings and fine-tuning are often what turn hearing aids from โgood at firstโ into a long-term improvement patients can truly rely on. Beltone Hearing Aid Center focuses on ongoing care, not just the initial fitting.
