MUSC WEIGHT MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS
There are nine different MUSC Weight Management Programs from which to choose. The website even offers a “program matching calculator” to help you choose which program suits your needs. A few of the programs are offered remotely.

HEART HEALTH
The Heart Health Program is both the pediatric weight management program of MUSC Children’s Health and the preventive cardiology service of the Children’s Heart Center.

HEALTHY CHARLESTON CHALLENGE
Healthy Charleston Challenge is a comprehensive 10-week overweight/obesity chronic-disease prevention program and activity competition located at the MUSC Wellness Center. During the 10 years of the Healthy Charleston Challenge’s existence, participants have lost over 50,000 pounds.

COASTAL CAROLINA BARIATRIC AND SURGICAL CENTER
Support groups are for patients who have undergone bariatric surgery – or may be considering it – and are looking for the support of other patients who can relate to their unique experiences. The support groups are open to all patients, regardless of where you are in your journey.

MOVE!, a program of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, provides education, support and the tips and tools necessary to make lifestyle changes and lose weight. MOVE! can be offered a number of ways, including classes, individual visits and through three different home-based coaching programs – one using smartphone technology.
